A Few Notes on Why Certain Items Are Not Permitted at the Facility
Aerosols, cologne and mouthwash are excluded because they contain alcohol or inhalable propellant. That is the same reason non-aerosol shaving cream is specified.
Electronics, phones and media go home so residents are present in the program rather than in contact with the world they are taking a break from. Letters, stamps and a phone card keep them in touch with family.
Valuables, expensive clothing and excess jewelry stay home simply because a shared house is not the place for them.
Bedding is provided. Food, candy and gum are excluded because meals and nutrition are part of the program.
